PRE TOUR 2 – Dead Sea, Massada & Jerusalem
June 2-3, 2013 (2 days tour)

Sunday, June 2, 2013
Departure Tel-Aviv after breakfast to the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea - the lowest point on earth. First we will view the Qumran site where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Then continue to Massada, a rugged natural fortress of majestic beauty and history - where you will ascend by cable car to the top of the mountain. Massada became a famous landmark after the first Jewish-Roman war when a siege of the fortress by troops of the Roman Empire led to a mass suicide of the site's Jewish Sicarii fugitives when defeat became imminent. Continue southbound along the Dead Sea to the delightful Hod Dead Sea hotel, Pool & Spa. The “Ma’ayan” Spa is one of the up-to-date in the region and features a heated Dead Sea water pool, rich in minerals, sulfur pools, modern Jacuzzi, dry Finnish sauna, hydrotherapy and comfortable, well equipped personal treatment rooms, in a tranquil, relaxed atmosphere, where we will enjoy a relaxing swimming pools & swimming in the Dead Sea. Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David and was one of the world's first health resorts for Herod the Great.
